Shipping policy
Dispatch
Orders are prepared at our premises and released to our carrier once payment has cleared in full and our verification checks are complete. We confirm the dispatch to you in writing. Where a piece is being made or finished to order, we confirm the expected dispatch date in writing at the time the order is accepted.
We do not dispatch on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays in the country of dispatch, and we do not release a consignment on a day when the recipient has told us they will be unavailable to receive it.
Where we deliver
We deliver worldwide, through international carriers we select for the carriage of valuables.
Delivery takes seven to thirty working days from dispatch, depending on the destination, on customs clearance and on the availability of the piece. These times are indicative, and a delay may arise from a cause outside our control.
Delivery charges, insurance and any applicable tax are calculated at checkout and are shown to you before you place your order.
Our advisors will also tell you how a piece can be seen in one of our boutiques. The boutiques are listed on the Boutiques page.
Insurance and carriage
Every consignment travels insured for the full value of the pieces it contains, under a specialist valuables service, until it is delivered to the address given on the order. We select the carrier, and we do not release a consignment to a carrier nominated by the customer.
Consignments are not labelled with the contents. Nothing on the outer packaging identifies the piece inside, its value, or the house.
Delivery
Delivery is made against signature. Our carrier will not leave a consignment unattended, will not leave it with a neighbour, and will not release it to a building concierge or a mailroom.
We deliver to a named recipient at a street address. We are not able to deliver to a post office box, a freight forwarder, a parcel locker or a hotel. The delivery address must match the address held by the issuer of the payment card used, and we will contact you before dispatch where it does not.
The carrier will ask the person signing for photographic identification in the name of the recipient. Where you wish a person other than the named recipient to receive the consignment, tell us in writing before dispatch so that we can record the authority with the carrier.
Give us a complete and accurate delivery address, and a telephone number at which the recipient can be reached. We are not responsible for a delay, a loss or a failed delivery caused by details given to us in error, by the absence of the recipient, or by the carrier.
Risk, loss and damage
Risk in the pieces passes to you when the consignment is delivered, and not before. Until that moment the consignment is carried at our risk and under our insurance.
Examine the outer packaging before you sign. Where the packaging is damaged, open or shows any sign of having been interfered with, refuse the delivery, or accept it noting the damage on the carrier's record. A consignment refused or signed for as damaged remains our responsibility. We will collect it at our cost and under our insurance, and we will repair the piece or replace it, telling you which of those we propose and why before we act. Where the piece can neither be repaired nor made or supplied again, we will refund you in full.
Where a consignment signed for as sound is found on opening to be damaged, or to contain other than what was ordered, tell us promptly, quoting your order number, and retain the packaging and all enclosed documents. We will arrange the return at our cost and under our insurance.
Where a consignment is lost in transit, we will replace the piece where the same piece can be made or supplied, and otherwise we will refund you in full. We make no deduction for the delivery charge in either case.
Customs, duties and import taxes
Import duty, import tax and any other charge raised by the authorities of the destination country are payable by the customer. They are payable to the carrier or to the authority before the consignment is released. They are not included in the price shown on this website, and they are not collected by us.
Consignments are declared at their full value. We do not under-declare the value of a consignment, and we do not describe a sold piece as a gift or as a sample.
Export restrictions
Some pieces are subject to export control, and some destinations are subject to restrictions that we are required to observe. Where a restriction prevents us from delivering an accepted order, we will tell you and refund you in full.
Tracking
We send the consignment reference and the carrier's details to the email address held on the order once the consignment has been released. Where you would prefer that we do not send tracking details by email, tell us before dispatch.
